Goodwill Avenue

Goodwill Avenue is located off Brighton Road on the west side of Charlottetown, in an area known as Brighton.  Named for the Goodwill family that once had a farm in the area, most of the development on the street took place after 1950 but some houses were built in the early 1900s.

In the following exhibit, we explore the history of Goodwill Avenue and the people that lived there.

Special thanks to the Public Archives and Records Office and members of the community that have donated photos to an exhibit that took place on Goodwill Avenue in August 2012. The photos and information have been chosen from that exhibit.
