Professor Henry Westaway Vinnicombe (1843-1928) was a prominent member of the music community in Charlottetown. He played the violin and led an orchestra that provided music for many occasions in the 1870-1910 period including light operas, minstrel shows and concerts. The Charlottetown Orchestral Club was a group of amateur Charlottetown musicians who were also prominent businessmen of the City.

Professor Vinnicombe was also a piano tuner who worked on instruments throughout Charlottetown. He lived just around the corner from our offices (northwest Queen and Fitzroy Street) at 55 Fitzroy Street.
