Old Home Week is THE event of the summertime in Charlottetown. Locals say that once Old Home Week is over, then so is the summer. The week-long event, that happens in the latter part of August combines harness racing, pageantry, agricultural displays, entertainment, a midway and the Gold Cup and Saucer parade. Since the early part of the 1900s, ex pats have made it a tradition to come home to Prince Edward Island during Old Home Week.
